“The work of the world is common as mud,” writes Marge Piercy in her poem, “To Be of Use.” What does that work look like, and what part do we play in it? Together we’ll look at stories of care in difficult times and consider how we might respond in ways big and small to the callings of the world in which we live.
Cheyenne Boon (she/her) is a third-year Master of Divinity student at Harvard Divinity School. She is also a candidate for UU ordination and an elementary RE teacher here at First Parish. Cheyenne is originally from Orange, California and she grew up attending the UU Congregation of Fullerton. She has since lived in Oregon, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and here in Massachusetts. In a few weeks, Cheyenne will return to Denver to complete a one year chaplain residency at the University of Colorado Hospital as she continues on her path to ordination.
