What do Unitarian Universalist congregations need as we work to build Beloved Community? Rev. Nancy Palmer Jones and First Parish’s own Karin Lin explored this question in their book Mistakes and Miracles: Congregations on the Road to Multiculturalism, the 2022-2023 UU Common Read. Inspired by the book, more than 25 members of First Parish recently engaged in conversations about First Parish’s past, present, and future in light of our commitment to create Beloved Community. Rich Lawson, Allegra Heath-Stout, Tod Hibbard, and Sylvia Wheeler will share reflections on their experiences as participants in these conversations.
