A Prayer for Saturday Night

For Turning the Clocks Back

No one can give you light
Nor take it away
Nor give you an hour
On an autumn day
 
Your light is your own
& your hours, too
But what I’ve got
I give to you:
 
Peace & may your children, pets, &
neighbors
sleep in tomorrow so that you can, too
