Our guest preacher on December 5 will be Rev. Brian Frederick-Gray who is a part of the worshipping community at First Parish Cambridge and serves as the Director of Disciples Peace Fellowship (the oldest denominational peace fellowship in the country). Part of Brian’s work involves training community organizers and justice advocates in peace practices that will help root them in their community and ground their work. Drawing on the poetry of Carrie Newcomer, Brian will share a peace practice that is all about finding joy in the world, and through his sermon he’ll invite us to try on this simple spiritual discipline in our own lives.
