Accessibility at First Parish in Cambridge
First Parish in Cambridge welcomes individuals with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you would like to request accommodations or have questions about physical access, please contact info@firstparishcambridge.org in advance of your visit.
Safety
First Parish is happy to welcome people back into the building for in-person worship. Masks are no longer required for Sunday services, Religious Education and other congregational programming.
For those who choose to wear a mask, you are welcomed and encouraged to do so. (See also Accessible Formats for information about the First Parish livestream.)
Accessible Transit and Parking
Public Transportation
The Harvard T Station is accessible. The elevator entrance is located at 1417 Massachusetts Ave, approximately 500 feet from First Parish.
Metered Street Parking
City-maintained Accessible Parking is available throughout Harvard Square. Three accessible spaces are located along Church Street, adjacent to First Parish. Street parking is free on Sundays.
Church Street Parking Lot
Close-proximity, paid parking is available at 41 Church Street.
Accessible Entrances
The meetinghouse, Parish House, and church offices are connected at the first-floor level and may be accessed by any of three building entrances.
The 1 Church Street entrance is suitable for wheelchair users and others who require stair-free access. The door is identified by a wheelchair icon on a black background. An interior elevator provides access to the meetinghouse and social gathering spaces.
The meetinghouse entrance at 1446 Massachusetts Ave is accessed via 9 exterior granite steps.
The entrance at 3 Church Street is accessed via 6 exterior granite steps.
Physical Accessibility
The Meetinghouse
Wheelchair and companion seating are located on the outside aisles of the sanctuary. Balcony seating is not currently in use.

Community Gatherings
The Parlor is connected to the meetinghouse by a stair-free route. The Mickelson Room, located on the second floor of the Parish House, may be accessed by elevator.
Restrooms
Accessible, all-gender restrooms are located on the first floor and mezzanine levels of the Parish House.
Assistive Listening Devices
Our Meetinghouse is equipped with a hearing loop which allows hearing aid users to directly link to our system for hearing assistance.

Sunday Livestream
First Parish offers a livestream of our Sunday service on Zoom Meeting ID: 155 025 783. Please refer to our Upcoming Worship Services for our worship schedule.
Order of Service
A large print Order of Service and large print hymnals are available from the greeters on Sunday morning. In addition, a link to the online order of service is available on the homepage of our website for those seeking to access the electronic version.
