Why The Buddha Sat Under the Bodhi Tree

Earth Day Sunday

On this Earth Day Sunday we begin with the story of the Buddha’s Enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree and reflect on the powerful connection between the Earth and our own spiritual growth and enlightenment.

The Pastoral Care Team of First Parish offers confidential and compassionate support to members of the congregation.

Caring for one another is a core spiritual practice for Unitarian Universalists. This can be in the forms of rides, meals, visits, information on resources, and conversation in time of need.

If you would like to connect with the Team about a concern, please email Care@firstparishcambridge.org For more urgent needs, Rev. Rob Hardies is available at rhardies@firstparishcambridge.org.

Donations Needed for UUA Temporary Shelter

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has partnered with the United Way and other community organizations to provide temporary housing to migrant families at its Seaport headquarters.  In the words of UUA Executive Vice President Carey McDonald, “As a religious community headquartered in Boston, we consider it an act of faithful witness to use our facilities to do our part to support families in need, including migrant families who are simply seeking safety for their loved ones.”

Donations of supplies are needed and include diapers, baby wipes, baby bottles, baby clothing, and high chairs. Link for WishList
